Supporting action towards food for healthy and sustainable lives

Food Durham, the Food Partnership for County Durham, is a cross-sector, multi-stakeholder collective of individuals and organisations interested in co-creating a better food system.  We're working together for healthier, greener, fairer food for all.

Play Cafes Food Survey

A group of postgraduate students at Durham University are collaborating with Food Durham and Climate Action Durham Grandparents on a food democracy project looking at food and drink in play centre cafes in County Durham.

We would really appreciate some feedback from parents, grandparents or anyone who regularly visits soft play, role play and other play cafes with young children (0-12).

If you would like to take part, could you please spare 10 minutes to complete the survey? https://forms.gle/KfbK9SHatC42YvRj6

Please note, the survey will now close tomorrow, at 11pm on Wednesday 30th April.

By sharing your thoughts you'll be helping us understand whether play cafes are meeting the needs of their youngest customers, whilst supporting nature and the environment. The findings will help Food Durham in developing a new Good Food Charter for County Durham. All settings which serve food, from work canteens, to cafes, schools and care homes, will be invited to sign up to the Charter to receive tips and advice on how to improve their food offer.

We look forward to sharing a summary of findings with you all in a few weeks' time.  Several play cafes have expressed an interest in seeing the results too - so this is your chance to have your say.

If you don't have young children, it would be really great if you could share this email with family and friends who have children in County Durham.

Many thanks,

Josh, Jade, Roy, Reese and Phillis - Students of Department of Anthropology, and Amy - Food Durham Coordinator
